Lunch & Menus

Our school meals are provided by the excellent Middlesbrough Council catering team, offering freshly prepared, nutritious and balanced lunches each day.

Children enjoy a cafeteria-style service with hot meals, desserts, lighter options, a salad bar, sandwiches and wraps. Staggered lunchtimes ensure a relaxed experience where no child feels rushed. Weekly menus are shared in our newsletter, and pupils may choose to bring a packed lunch from home if they prefer.

School Meal Menus

Our menus offer a variety of hot meals, vegetarian options and lighter choices. They rotate on a three-weekly basis. The following week’s menu is published in our weekly newsletter.

Meal Prices & Payments

School meals are charged at £3.10 per day (£15.50 per week) for Key Stage 2 pupils (Years 3–6). Meals must be paid for in advance via Arbor in line with the school’s meals debt policy.

Parents and carers can log into their Arbor account to:

  • View their child’s meal account
  • Make secure payments using a debit or credit card
  • Keep track of balances

Children from Reception to Year 2 are entitled to universal free school meals. If you feel that your child beyond Year 2 is entitled to means-tested Free School Meals, please get in touch with the school office and we can advise on next steps.

Universal Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal every day under the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meals programme. No application is required for this entitlement.

Income-Based Free School Meals
  • Some families may also qualify for income-based Free School Meals which extends beyond Year 2.

    If your child qualifies
    • They will receive free schools meals each day worth almost £590 per year.
    • The school will receive additional Pupil Premium funding worth £1515 per year which supports educational resources, learning interventions, school trips, activities, uniform costs etc.

Even if your child already receives a free meal through the universal programme (Reception–Year 2), we still encourage eligible families to register, as it allows the school to access this additional funding to support your child’s learning.

Applications are confidential and will not affect any other benefits you receive. You can still register even if your child prefers to bring a packed lunch.
