Safeguarding
Every Child’s safety and Wellbeing Matters
The safety and wellbeing of every child at Chandlers Ridge is our highest priority.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This commitment applies to all staff, governors, trustees, volunteers, visitors, parents and pupils. Our practice is guided by statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025) and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023).
OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children means:
- Providing help and support as soon as problems emerge
- Protecting children from maltreatment, including online
- Preventing impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development
- Ensuring children grow up in circumstances consistent with safe and effective care
- Taking action to enable all children to have the best possible outcomes
All staff and regular visitors receive safeguarding training and induction. They know how to recognise signs of concern, respond appropriately to disclosures and record and report concerns in line with school procedures.
We are clear with children that we cannot promise to keep secrets. If a child shares information that indicates they are at risk, we will follow safeguarding procedures to ensure they receive the support they need.
If you have a concern that you would like to raise with the school, please call 01642 312741 or email enquiries@chandlersridge.org.uk. If a child is at immediate risk, please call the Police on 999.
